Privacy, in plain language.
JamesGames collects only what it needs to save progress, operate safely, and understand whether the puzzles work well.
What JamesGames stores
If you create an account, JamesGames stores your authentication identity, username and privacy choice, friend relationships, saved puzzle progress, official results, personal statistics, streaks, tutorial preferences, and any puzzle you submit through Create. Create answer grids remain private to you and administrators during review. If you message support, JamesGames also stores the email address and message you submit. Your email address is never displayed publicly.
Guest play and device storage
Guest progress, tutorial choices, theme, and a random guest identifier stay in your browser storage. You can clear this information from Settings or through your browser. Signing in can transfer eligible guest progress from that device into your account.
Friends and public profiles
Public profiles may appear on Global leaderboards. A complete exact-username search may find a private profile so someone who already knows the username can send a request. Accepted friends see leaderboard-safe streak and completion totals, never email, detailed times, guesses, or puzzle history.
Service providers and security logs
Supabase provides authentication and database services. OpenAI Sites, Cloudflare, Vercel, and related hosting infrastructure may process limited request, security, and performance logs. Google sign-in provides only a basic profile and verified email; JamesGames does not request Google files, contacts, or other services.
Aggregate product measurement
JamesGames may count broad events such as page visits, game starts, completions, sign-up actions, and anonymous performance measurements. These counters do not store puzzle guesses, solutions, email addresses, usernames, or a cross-site advertising identifier.
Retention and your choices
Account puzzle history is retained while your account is active so statistics and streaks remain accurate. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to review, respond, and protect the service, and an administrator can permanently delete them. Operational security logs follow the hosting providers’ retention practices. Settings lets you download your account data, make your profile private, remove friends, clear device data, or permanently delete your account and its player records.
Children and families
JamesGames is designed for a broad audience but is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied personal information can use Message support to request review and deletion.
